The heart is the doorway to the supernatural. Through our heart we have access to the spirit realm, and through the heart the spirit realm has access to us. In this article I will try to explain how our heart operates in both the natural and supernatural realm. I may sound a little scientific at first, but stay with me I will bring the Christian perspective toward the end.
The physical heart communicates in the seen and unseen realm.
In the book “The Heart Math Solution” by Doc Hildre and Howard Martin there is some pretty compelling scientific data about the physical heart’s intelligence. I recommend the book as a good reference.
The jist of the book is this, the physical heart is intelligent and has a lot to do with your emotional and spiritual wellbeing. The reason why is because your heart speaks.
The heart talks to your brain more than your brain talks to your heart.
Decades ago the medical community thought the only communication between the heart and the brain was through nerve endings. This is how the brain regulates heart rate.
Today we know the heart send signals to the brain through the unseen realm in the form of electromagnetic waves. This wave or vibration can be measured in frequencies, much like a radio frequency. In essence, your heart communicates like a transceiver. But to keep things simple, the mind speaks to the heart through nerve endings and the heart speaks to the mind through wave endings.
Emotions affect the hearts electro-magnetic wave.
Emotions change the frequency that the heart is transmitting on. In fact, the stronger the emotion the stronger the transmission. As it relates to the mind, the hearts communication has a more dramatic affect.
When strong negative emotions are present, there is a reduction of intelligence.
The strongest negative emotions are fear, anger, and strife. When either is present rational thinking, creativity, and interpersonal communication are hindered. You literally become a breeding ground for the demonic.
When strong positive emotion are present intelligence increases.
The strongest positive emotions are love, peace, and compassion. When these are present rational thinking, communication, and perception are all enhanced.
The heart is the production center of your life.
Whatever you put in your heart, it produces it in your life. Literally what that means is whatever desire you accept into your subconscious mind then your heart acts like a transponder and sends signals to produce and attract the thing you desire into your life.
Guard Your Heart
Proverbs 4:23 NIV “Above all else, guard your heart for everything you do flows from it.”
In this scripture Solomon is warning us to protect our hearts from allowing unwanted desires in them.
Desires come from the supernatural realm. God gives us the desires of our heart (Psalm 37:4) and the world gives us desires that are designed to choke out Godly desires (Mark 4:19). They enter our hearts by riding in on our mind’s imagination in the form of thoughts. That’s why you can’t allow your imagination run wild. Nor should you allow outside forces manipulate and program your imagination. Guard Your Heart!
Here are some tips that will help you guard your heart:
Be conscious of your emotions. Maintain your emotional stability by always being aware of your feelings. Whenever you have negative feelings recognize that demonic forces are trying to enter your heart and you take action.
The best action you can take is to eradicate what you’re feeling by replacing it with another emotion. The quickest way to do that is by being grateful. Gratitude is one of the most powerful emotions you can experience. It easily replaces other emotions. No matter how angry, depressed, or afraid you may be if you can think of something you are grateful for it will swing your mood to the positive.
Be conscious of what entertains you. Today’s media is powerful. They have mastered ways of stimulating your imagination without you even being aware. Be aware!
Be conscious of your associations. You can’t run with just anybody. Your imagination gets stimulated through associations. When God wants to bless you He puts a person in your life. When Satan wants to curse you he puts a person in your life. Choose wisely!
